Will  Estate Planning

Wills & Trust:

It makes no difference whether your potential estate is large or small, you ought to have a will. Even with a living trust designed to avoid probate a will is usually recommended to provide a complete Estate Plan.

When your potential is large or includes a business which you plan to pass on to family members or when your testamentary plan is complex in other ways, a variety of planning tools are available to accomplish your wishes with the least tax consequence.

Elder Law:

Most of us are living longer lives. For many that reality includes the likelihood that a time will come when we need to reside in an assisted living facility or nursing home. As difficult as it is to face this possibility, it is much better to face it early. With proper planning you can provide for the care of yourself and your spouse, and still leave an estate to be enjoyed by your children and grandchildren.

Lifetime gifts and transfers:

There are times when it is beneficial to give your property away during your lifetime. There are times when you want to benefit charities during your lifetime. Doing so may bring unexpected tax benefits.

The GNA approach:

The attorneys at GNA understand that there are two parts to being an Estate Planner. The first is to bring to the client the legal tools which will best accomplish the client's desires. The second and equally, if not more important, is to understand the human aspect of the client, their family and their desires. Sometimes the best legal solution just is not what the client really wants to do. At GNA we listen to our clients. We explain the pros and cons of each possible course of action. We are patient while you take whatever time is necessary to consider your options. We let you decide.
